EZLift launches fully modular e-bike/cargo shop lift – Gear

EZLift has announced the launch of its fully modular e-bike/cargo shop lift, with a lifting capacity of up to 90 kg.

The lift is fully modular and features a patented quick release plate for quickly changing catch devices. It is capable of lifting two bikes simultaneously, the company said.

The lift is shown with the optional load plate attached. Other custom capture devices can be provided to meet customer requirements. List price for the workshop lift is £1,799 which includes the 360 degree rotating grab claw.

Other products manufactured by EZLift include its fully portable 12VDC e-bike/cargo lift with the same specifications. For further details regarding either product, please contact Gary Snyder at [email protected] or +44 7789962623.

EZLift was founded by two lifelong avid cyclists, one a former bike mechanic and the other an e-bike salesman, both living in the Cotswolds.

They both have several friends who sell and service e-bikes and the number one issue with maintaining these bikes was the weight of the bikes, they said. One of the stores had an electric lift but said it was very noisy, had very limited lift capacity and could not accommodate cargo bikes.

Also, he had heard of motor burnout problems with elevators. This prompted the team to come up with a concept for an electric bike lift that could be used in the workshop and in the field to service cargo bikes.

Thus, the idea for a fully modular, battery-powered portable lift was born – a lift that not only offered complete portability and was weatherproof, but also worked just as well in the workshop and had the ability to lift up to 90 kg to handle the maintenance of any e-bike, e-cargo bike or e-scooter.

After a year and a half of development, a patent was filed and the elevator was brought to market.

The portable lift made its debut at Eurobike 2021. EZLift then took on the task of designing a dedicated workshop lift with the same specifications, except that it is not weatherproof or portable but it still lifts 90 kg, and optionally could lift two bikes at the same time.

Both lifts use industrial-grade parts, including EZLift’s ¼ hp motor, duplex chain, and solid-state motor driver board, along with a universal AC power supply and industrial-grade controller.

The workshop lift is clad in stainless steel for long lasting durability and the portable lift uses weather resistant gaskets and bellows. Both units operate on 12 VDC, but EZLift provides universal AC power for use in any location.

Both risers unite EZLift’s patented universal clamp mount that accommodates a wide range of catch assemblies to include the 360° rotatable claw, cargo bike plate and its stem tube catch solution. OEM saddle.

EZLift can also manufacture custom capture devices that will quickly fit to the lift using EZLift’s patented quick release mounting system. The lifts are designed and manufactured here in the UK, said MD Gary Snyder of EZLift.
